They are currently participating in numerous safety training and snowmobile sessions with the highly skilled McMurdo field safety staff for good safe work on the sea ice this season. Here's Team 2024's McMurdo Station Arrival Photo, by Field Team Leader and PhD Student Parker Levinson!

The Team's flight to McMurdo Station from Christchurch, NZ was rescheduled a couple of times, but third time's a charm! Here they all are on board the C-17 awaiting take-off in for the approximately 5-6 hour flight among others headed South in the cavernous interior of the huge military airlift, as seen in this group photo by Sophia Rotella, below.

Now on Station at McMurdo, the field team is awaiting internet connection there, as it's still early in the Austral Spring/Summer Science Season. And we will post more photos once that happens. Go Team 2024!
