To get a better sense of the locations of major Weddell seal pupping colonies in the Erebus Bay Study Area of the Weddell Seal Population Study, we produced this interactive video popup map. Clicking on one of the blue video icons on the resizable map will bring up a quick video of that Weddell seal pupping colony. This interactive map was created by Prof. Jay Rotella using the Leaflet bundle in R Studio, with colony videos produced by Multimedia Specialists Mary Lynn Price and “Weddell Seals” ebook author Jeremy Schmidt. We hope to add a new colony video this season on the Pram Point Weddell seal colony near New Zealand’s Scott Base. Please stay tuned!
